Celebrating a Patient's Success Story After Rotator Cuff Surgery

On my non-OR days, my kids often ask me, "What is clinic?" Well, it is a chance to meet new patients and see back existing patients. It is where shared decision making happens between patient and surgeon. And it is why being a good Doctor is just as important as being a good Surgeon. And some days, you get a very special treat!!! I was recently surprised by my friend, patient, and competitive tennis player (and OB/GYN surgeon!!) with excellent news! We surgically fixed her massive rotator cuff repair a few years ago and she just recently WON the 2023 USTA NTRP 4.0 55 & over Doubles NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP!!!! So proud of you and your team's hard work to get back on the court!!! Keep pushing!!! Thank you for letting me be a part of it!

Dr. Bailey had an amazing week at this year's AANA annual meeting in New Orleans! It was his last conference in uniform and he was asked to present on the meniscus deficient knee in our combat athletes. He also used the time to catching up with amazing friends from all over. Next month, Dr. Bailey will be joining the world-class team at Ryu Hurvitz Orthopedic Clinic in Santa Barbara, CA.
